Hucks escape and girl immitation

I thought it was very clever of Huck to smash things and kill a pig so it looked like he was murdered. If he didn't want his pap to find him, he would never find him if he was "dead." Did Huck really expect to get away with pretending to be a girl? You can't just put on a dress, make your voice higher and bat your eyes to be a girl. Especially since he wasn't doing girl things. Most girls I know hate rats and can't throw very far let alone something heavy. He also messed up his/her name. Typically girls don't forget their own name. He blew it big time!
