I think it's sweet that so many people let Huck stay with them. Yes Huck tends to stretch the truth every time but the people are still gracious. I would be so scared if I ever witnessed a gun fight. I'm surprised Huck didn't try to stop it. I'm not sure what went through those boys' heads when they found the two con men wanting to hitch a ride with them. Especially when they found out the men lied about who they were.
