I think the duke and the dauphin are just weird. They are con men and they get drunk and pretend to be other people. They perform things to get money which isn't a bad thing but the things they do are just kinda strange. I'm surprised Huck and Jim don't mind them tagging along. I thought that they just wanted to travel by themselves. But Huck and Jim seem to be fitting in with the two con men.
